Supporting Our Veterans & Homeless CommunitiesProviding Support to Veterans Through a Collaboration of Community Partners
Community Services, Volunteering, Donation, Financial Mentoring and shelter and VA Benefits. The following sections describe some programs that can assist our nation’s veterans. The programs may focus on financial mentoring, housing shelters, and transitioning from military to civilian life. We also cover the roles of local service providers, community partnerships, and veterans’ organizations in promoting connectedness and eliminating isolation among Veterans. Finally, to ensure that the programs we support provide the most effective care possible, we develop collaborations with local resources and partners to provide outreach and treatment services to veterans in their communities. |

Feeding our veterans and Financial mentoring
The Veterans Affairs Department recently commissioned a report identifying the number one cause for dissatisfaction among returning veterans: low income. As a result, we have created programs and services to help veterans manage their money and improve their lives to address this. |
Housing shelters and transition to
civilian life Many veterans face many challenges upon transitioning from the military to civilian life. In addition, many are traumatically injured and need to learn how to adapt to civilian life. Housing shelters and the transition to civilian life for veterans are two that we focus on. Veterans can access several programs and VA benefits to help them adjust to civilian life. We can help guide them through these options. |
