TFT Young World Changers BenefitsBetter quality of life
Each child experiences the kind of fun and adventure that brings big smiles and even bigger memories. Increased resiliency Researchers have found that the most critical factor in building resiliency in children is the consistent presence of a caring, supportive person who provides unconditional love, non-judgmental, active listening, and actions that communicate, “I am here for you.” Increased self-confidence Kids build confidence by doing. Encouragement and support can help a child feel safe enough to try something new. “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old , he will not depart from it” Proverb 22.6 |
One in three young people will grow up without an adult mentor.
TFT safely and skillfully matches adult volunteers with youth who need support through our process.

Supporting Our Veterans & Homeless CommunitiesProviding Support to Veterans Through a Collaboration of Community Partners
Community Services, Volunteering, Donation, Financial Mentoring and shelter and VA Benefits. The following sections describe some programs that can assist our nation’s veterans. The programs may focus on financial mentoring, housing shelters, and transitioning from military to civilian life. We also cover the roles of local service providers, community partnerships, and veterans’ organizations in promoting connectedness and eliminating isolation among Veterans. Finally, to ensure that the programs we support provide the most effective care possible, we develop collaborations with local resources and partners to provide outreach and treatment services to veterans in their communities. |
Feeding our veterans and Financial mentoring
The Veterans Affairs Department recently commissioned a report identifying the number one cause for dissatisfaction among returning veterans: low income. As a result, we have created programs and services to help veterans manage their money and improve their lives to address this. |
Housing shelters and transition to
civilian life Many veterans face many challenges upon transitioning from the military to civilian life. In addition, many are traumatically injured and need to learn how to adapt to civilian life. Housing shelters and the transition to civilian life for veterans are two that we focus on. Veterans can access several programs and VA benefits to help them adjust to civilian life. We can help guide them through these options. |

Crime Prevention, Drug Awareness, and Driving ProgramCommunity Involvement, Drug and Awareness, reduce juvenile crime, reduce violent crime.
A community must consider the physical and mental aspects of crime prevention and awareness programs to prevent crimes. Awareness is a state of conscious living and mind. It helps us recognize dangers and move to safety if we feel threatened. Criminals constantly adapt their methods, changing their physical and emotional relationships. By learning new information, you can become more aware of dangers and avoid them before they happen. Reduce Juvenile Crimes Investing in after-school programs is one way to reduce juvenile crime. A recent study analyzed data from the FBI and law enforcement agencies to determine the best hours to provide after-school programming. The peak times for juvenile crime are from 2 to 6 p.m. during the week. In addition, providing a caring adult presence makes children feel safe and achieve better academic outcomes and social and emotional development. The number one method for juvenile crime prevention is youth crime programs. Sixty percent of respondents surveyed said they were effective, and seventy percent said they were very effective. Eighty percent of respondents viewed youth crime prevention programs as essential. |
